I have decided to focus on concepts 1 and 3 considering the possible problems of execution and content of concept 2. This does not mean that I chose to nix the idea because I am not up to the challenge, but because I would rather start with my best foot forward by choosing something more concrete. I knew that there might be problems with the abstract nature of concept 2 in the first place, so here we are focusing to go with one of these two other ideas.
Let me start with tear sheets supporting my third concept of "living photographs". It was said in class that this has been done in a Harry Potter movie. It might be a good idea if I watch the movie in question in order to get a sense of how this should look, and also how not to do it so it looks more my own. I did know that this idea has been used before in movies and commercials and that it would not be 100% original in the first place, but its hard to pick something that has never been done.
The second picture of a silhouette of a person with a thin outline is a more simplistic example of how this effect would look when tracked to human motion.
The trails could appear at the instant that each picture comes to life in order to give the characters a more animated look when they are moving from one picture frame to another.
The images I tore to support my first concept of "natural vs man-made" objects have helped me to develop the idea further. The theme in objects that I choose for the project could all be some sort of display screen. I could essentially change the name of the concept to "The World Within Screens".

This picture of a camera showing a blowing tumbleweed was a perfect example of the kind of motion of what I would be looking for from my landscape scenes. I would just want very subtle things occurring such as something natural blowing across the screen, water shimmering on the surface of a pond, or a bird suddenly taking off in flight. The screens that I would want to use to display the landscapes would have to be examples of current technology such as the digital camera or this cell phone. I could also make use of other screens such as a flat panel monitor, a Sony PSP, and a video I-Pod. I could try to make a statement about how we are becoming more and more dependent on these digital devices to connect to the world around us.
